Featured Car Questions
Q. (NOSR) When & where did you purchase this car?
A. (Mukul) March 2005 from a Houston Subaru dealership…none of the local dealerships had any on their lots.
Q. Why did you choose this car as the basis of your project?
A. I had a WRX back in 2002 and since then have gone through many cars. I had to go back to the platform that I had the most fun in!
Q. Was there anything unique about the car before you started modifying it?
A. Other than the big ass wing?!
Q. What was the objective of this project?
A. Build a somewhat quick car that would be reliable and fun to drive! I wanted show and go!
Q. Any specific technical details you can share?
A. Mods are all above…any questions, just ask!
Q. What was the most difficult part of the project?
A. Getting the car to my tuner in Austin on their AWD dyno.
Q. If you had to do it all over again, is there anything you would change?
A. I would have skipped going to the TDO6-20G and moved straight to the GT3076R thats on there now.
Q. Have you generated any formal test results with this car (dyno, ¼ mile, etc)
A. Made 330awhp – 325 lb/ft on a Mustang Dyno (Stock STi makes about 205-210 on this particular Tuner’s Dyno)
Q. Are you finished? What’s next?
A. Done for now…unless the motor goes!
Q. What is your favorite thing about this car?
A. Everything! Im pretty satisfied that I successfully built a clean, well put together vehicle in all aspects (exterior/interior/motor/etc…)
Q. As modified, what makes your car unique?
A. Again, I feel that I covered all aspects. Its got show and go!
Q. Are there any individuals or companies involved in the build that you would like to give special thanks to?
A. Tim Eberts/Eric Hunn/Dennis Denuna/Mobile 1/MZM Performance
Q. Anything else you’d like to share?
A. Thanks for the recognition!
