Q. (NOSR) When & where did you purchase this car?
A. (Tony) I bought the car almost 2 years ago in Abbeville
Q. Why did you choose this car as the basis of your project?
A. I liked that it had torque and a big wheel base to fit some aggressive wheels. It was either the Z or the S2000. The Z was a better choice because of the interior space it offers vs the S2000.
Q. Was there anything unique about the car before you started modifying it?
A. Only the fact that I bought it from a 50something year old woman.
Q. What was the objective of this project?
A. To have the BEST looking Z in New Orleans. Being supercharged is also a plus. =)
Q. What was the most difficult part of the project?
A. Having the money…. Lol
Q. If you had to do it all over again, is there anything you would change?
A. I should’ve bought an 07.
Q. Have you generated any formal test results with this car (dyno, ¼ mile, etc)
A. Corr Performance tuned the Z with the 3.12 vortech pulley and it resulted in a 360whp on a dyno dynamics. I also ran my Z at the IFO2010 and hit 12.9@110. I was surprised with that run only because I’m a noob at launching a boosted car. The car definitely can run mid to low 12’s with more seat time. But being fast isn’t one of my biggest interest.
Q. Are you finished? What’s next?
A. Nope. I still have the interior to work with next. And also the engine bay.
Q. What is your favorite thing about this car?
A. Vortech!
Q. As modified, what makes your car unique?
A. Not only does the car have a mean stance, it also has the power to back it up.
